Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Rectify ("the app", "we", "us")
handles information when you play. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the game,
show ads in the free version, and offer optional features like leaderboards. We do not sell your
personal information.
Information the app handles
Rectify does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or contact details to play. The app works with the following categories of data:
- On-device game data. Your best scores, unlock progress, and settings are stored locally on your device.
- Usage and diagnostics data. Anonymous, aggregated events (for example, screens viewed and features used) that help us understand how the game is played and fix problems.
- Advertising data. Data used to serve and measure ads in the free version of the app (see below).
- Purchase data. Whether you own the one-time "Rectify Plus" upgrade, so the app can unlock its features and remove ads.
Third-party services
Some data is processed by trusted third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
-
Google Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous usage and device information to help us improve the game.
See Firebase's privacy information
and Google's Privacy Policy.
-
Google AdMob — serves ads in the free version of the app. Rectify is configured to request
non-personalised (contextual) ads and does not use the device's advertising
identifier (IDFA) to track you across other apps and websites. Where required by law (for example, in the EU/UK),
the app shows a consent request before ads are loaded.
See how Google uses data for advertising.
-
Apple Game Center — if you are signed in, your best scores and achievements are submitted to
Apple's Game Center to power leaderboards and achievements. This is governed by
Apple's Privacy Policy.
-
Apple App Store (StoreKit) — the "Rectify Plus" purchase is processed by Apple. We receive
confirmation of the purchase but never see your payment card details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or contact list.
- We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Children's privacy
Rectify is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information,
please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices
- You can reset the advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Where a consent request is shown, you can choose how your data is used for ads.
- Deleting the app removes the game data stored on your device.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated"
date at the top of this page.
