How it works

Add the things the house pays for once — rent, energy, broadband, the streaming subscription — and say who's on each one.

Every month they turn up on their own, split the way you set them. Tick yours off as you pay.

The app keeps the running total of who owes who, so settling up is one number and one conversation instead of a scroll back through six months of messages.

What's in it

Bills that repeat themselves Set a bill up once and it appears every month, quarter or year. Prices change; the app keeps the history, so last month's figures stay right.
Split it however it actually works Evenly, or not. One person fronts the bill, everyone else owes their share — including housemates who haven't got the app yet.
Who owes who, settled One running balance per person instead of a pile of IOUs, and a settle-up that clears it in a tap.
Your month, not the calendar's If you're paid on the 28th, your month starts on the 28th. Everyone in the house can set their own.
What's left of your income Tell the app what you earn and it shows what's left after your share of everything. It's stored on your own account — your housemates can't see it.
One shopping list, everybody's pen Shared shopping lists and checklists that update on everyone's phone as they're ticked, sorted into the aisles you actually walk.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my housemates on it?: Add them to the house by name first — bills can be split with them straight away, whether or not they ever install the app. When they're ready, send them the invite code from the House screen and they'll take over their own place in the house.
Can I change when my month starts?: Yes. On the House screen you can set the day your money month begins, so bills are grouped around your pay day rather than the 1st. It's per person — yours doesn't change anybody else's.
Can my housemates see what I earn?: No. Your income is stored on your own account and is the one thing in the app nobody else in the house can read. It's only used to work out what's left for you.
Is Your Home free?: Yes. It's free and supported by ads, with a one-off in-app purchase that removes them for good if you'd rather not see them.
How do I leave a house, or delete my account?: Both are on the Profile screen. Leaving takes you out of the house but keeps the history of what's already been paid; deleting your account removes you and your personal details.
How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?: Use Send feedback on the Profile screen, or email us. Your device model and iOS version help, and screenshots help most of all.
